This information is provided by Bob DelPrete, former Southern Region Safety & Health Representative who was also a steward for our local in Pompano Beach, Florida until he retired from the Post Office in 2005.  Bob was the Southern Region Safety & Health Rep from 1999 to 2005 and was a steward in our local from 1983 to 2005.  He holds a BBA degree from Pace College in New York City and an MS in Education from Florida International University in Miami.  He has been a substitute teacher in the Broward County school system as well as a teacher at a well-know, national learning center.  He co-authored a workbook on the Family Medical Leave Act that has been used throughout the Southern Region, is an OSHA Outreach Trainer, and has taught at various seminars and conferences in a number of the southern states that comprise the APWU's Southern Region.  He is also the area rep for VPP, ERRP, and serves on the national ERRP Ergonomic Work Group (EWG) that oversees ERRP sites.  In addition, Bob serves on the EWG measurement subcommittee.  His 30+ years of experience on the workroom floor and 20+ years experience as a steward helped him be a positive influence for all members of the APWU.
