COPA By Sandra Munoz, Human Relations Director Well you know what time it is again... It's COPA time. Since we have started our new year I want to ask all employees to pull out their checkbooks and make their checks out to COPA right now. That way I won't bother you for the rest of the year. We all know the importance of what COPA does for us. It gives us an important voice in Washington. Make sure that you do your part to help preserve what our Union has fought so hard to get us. We ask that all APWU members make a donation of at least $12 a year. That comes out to only $1 a month. This year we are going to have many COPA raffles which I urge you all to enter. Our local has always donated strong and I expect that trend to continue. We will be having our COPA 52 CLUB as always, but this year we will have three different levels...Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The Bronze will be for any member who donates at least $52. The Silver will be for any member who donates at least $100. The gold will be for any member who donates at least $200. In 2005 we had at least 50 out of our 150 members who donated that were a part of our COPA 52 Club. Thanks again for all who helped us reach our 2005 goal set for us by National. I know that with a joint commitment from all of us we will well exceed our goal set forth for 2006. |
